1999
Mr. Abernathy, the original owner, served as mayor of Pittsburg for 52 years. The Abernathy House always remained a landmark of the town; it underwent expansions after WWII, but the character of the home has remained unchanged.
In 2001, The Abernathy House was purchased by The Twining Family, who opened the venue's doors for events... and they've been celebrating special occasions ever since! They continue to operate the venue and maintain the historic home today.

The Abernathy House received its Texas Historical Home Designation on April 8th, 2016... and it still has a bright future ahead with many wonderful celebrations yet to come in this beloved venue!
